The social media are a task of the present. They can be a blessing for disseminating your own messages. Anyone active in the social media has to pay very close attention to their inherent pitfalls. It is therefore sensible to spend some time familiarizing yourself with the phenomenon before using social media.

The “Social Media Toolkit“, developed by the Bundesverband der Angehörigen psychisch erkrankter Menschen (BApK) e.V. in 2012 in cooperation with various patients’ associations at the European level, is a helpful aide for state associations, regional organizations, and initiatives.
